Award season has begun, which means we’re in heaven here at We Love Beauty. Of course, like all beauty fanatics, we had our eyes glued to the Red Carpet for the Golden Globes, gleefully taking in all that glamour. One standout look for us was January Jones who plays Betty Draper, the model-turned-housewife, on Mad Men. We loved the way her high-glam TV style translated to real life with unexpected color and those amazing eyebrows! We couldn’t wait to get all the particulars from our very own Rachel Goodwin, the makeup artist behind this gorgeous look.
“The look I designed for January was inspired by her dress, which was a modern interpretation of a 1940s movie star gown with strong shape and dramatic, high-glamour color. I used that and the ‘old Hollwood glamour’ she already has as my bouncing board. We wanted to go retro, but not the same as the show—we wanted go a little further back and create refined yet over-the-top glamour...READ MORE: Get the Look: January Jones at the Golden Globes

There’s nothing we love more than debunking a time-honored beauty myth, and seeing that it’s cloudy in most of the country right now (we’ve even had some not-so-sunny days here in LA), we thought this one was a good pick.
We really thought that the “always-wear-sunscreen-no-matter-what” mantra had been drummed into everyone’s head by now, so we were shocked to find out that many of even our most skin-savvy friends still believe you can forgo the sunscreen when skies are grey...READ MORE: Beauty Myth: You Don’t Need Sunscreen on a Cloudy Day
1) Is there a product(s) that you absolutely must have in your bag at all times? I always have my loose powder, mascara, and B.M. face color because if your skin looks uniform you're "good to go", and I don't always have the time or the patience to put a full face of makeup on. I swear by M.A.C., and I love the Zoom Lash™ mascara, it goes on thick without leaving tarantula legs. Next, I would have to say my brow crayon. My eyebrows have...READ MORE: In Your Bag: Lindsay Mundell
