I was so saddened and shocked to hear the news of Paul Starr's passing. My thoughts and sympathy are with his friends and family. I had the opportunity to meet Paul once and he was a charming, fun and kind person. His artistry was legendary as well. May he rest in peace. xo, Nicciknows

Wow What can I say, I'm completly in shock. I was at work today when I heard of Paul's Passing he was both an amazing guy and incredible makeup artist and always will be an icon of the beauty world along side Waybandy, Kevyn Aucoin, Shu Umura, ect. And it is my hope that we never forget their pioneering contributions and creations in our industry. Rest in peace bud. Klexius Kolby

I was not good friends with Paul, but we have knowN each other for a very long time. We "shared many clients over the years....... TLC, Belinda Carlisle and recently P!NK, among others. Paul was one of the VERY few makeup artist who was ALWAYS nice to me, respectful, and a true gentleman (especially dealing with another makeup artist (me) that most would consider Competition. Whenever I would see Paul he would seem to know what I had been up to and reference something whether it was a Music Video, Editorial etc........ he always had something to say, complimentary and sweet. There are few Men or Makeup Artists like Paul. A "real" makeup artist who had paid his dues and become a SUPERSTAR the hard way. Paul in many ways defined Hollywood and certainly defined TRUE Talent. Paul was a good man, I respected and admired him, and even though we weren't "close" friends I will miss him, his enormous Talent and what he brought to all of us by being here. With Much RESPECT AND ADMIRATION MR. STAR! YOU WILL BE MISSED. GODSPEED, Love, billy b p.s. give Kevyn and HUG for me ;)......

terribly sad news for us all. I was very fortunate to have met Paul and very upset to hear of his premature departure from our world. He was a great artist, and a gracious man and on behalf of myself and all the magneteers, I send love and peace to Paul. I know that he, darling Ray Allington and kevin Aucoin will be together now, and that gives me great solice, so much talent, too soon gone. much love to you and the we love beauty team. kate lee xxxxxxx
