We Love Being Green: Chantecaille Protect Paradise Face Compact

Those who know me, know I'm a big Chantecaille fan. The brand is famous for it's beautiful complexion products, but recently I've become hooked on some of the phenomenal skincare items including the Biodynamic Lifting Mask and my daily favorite, the Oil free Water Flower Fluid. I know, I'm a big girl.

One of the reasons I love Chantecaille so much is not only does the brand make luxurious formulas, but they are also socially conscience. That's important to me.

You may remember last year, Chantecaille created the Limited Edition Jay Strongwater compact which supported Reefs of Hope. While many scoffed at the pricetag...a cool $420, we couldn't help but fall in love with the compact, and appreciate the intent.

This year, Chantecaille is at it again with their new translucent powder compact: Protect Paradise Face Compacts. This time supporting the Pew Fellowship in Marine Conservation - A conservation which focuses on "vital research on fish sustainability and marine preserves." "Chantecaille continues to bring awareness to the urgent situation of our ocean, focusing on overfishing, the destruction of our marine habitats, and promoting the establishment of protected zones on the East Coast of the United States." A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the Protect Paradise Face Compacts will be donated to the Pew Fellowship. Plus, this time around, you can support an eco-friendly cause for only a sweet $90.

In addition, the translucent powder uses the same innovative technology and silk hydrating proteins we are accustomed to with this lux brand - "delivering tiny, smooth particles and micronized pigments that result in exceptionally pure color with a blendable, velvety texture." The compact also comes with a large pouf perfect for blending all the colors to create a healthy glow. The powder is "comprised of complementary sheer hues, ranging from rich Coral to pale Pink Sand." PS. I really love the little surprise fish design inside.

that...is a masterpiece in its own right. I don't think I'd have the heart to use it, no matter how magically beautiful it would make me! even as a "poor fashionista," I'd def be willing to purchase something like that for a great cause. http://thepuffreports.blogspot.com/

This compact is so beautiful! And I love Chantecaille...I love Chantecaille even more knowing that they care for the environment. It is so cool to see that they are partnering with the Pew Fellowship again. I wish there were more eco-friendly partnerships out there like this in the beauty world.

lets not give them so much love just yet- the percentage of proceeds that is being donated is a mere 5%- and for a "special item" this is not much at all.. i was so disappointed to learn this, because now i feel like i fell for a PR trick. but i dont regret it- the product is awesome!
