The Insider Scoop on Jen Garner's Shiny, Sexy Sweep

 

Last week we had to stop and call attention to Jennifer Garner’s head-turning, gorgeous hair at her premiere of The Kingdom in Tokyo, Japan.

Breathtakingly shiny, Jen wore loose textured waves, and a beautiful bang sweep…a style we are tagging a Fall trend. In your comments we read “yes, we love it, but how do you get that incredible shine?” With a little help from our friends of course.

Celebrity stylemaker Adir Abergel was responsible for Jen’s shiny, sexy mane & he had a little trick up his sleeve he was excited to share. When using Kate Somerville’s Quench Serum on his face, a light bulb went off. Typically Adir believes the silicone serums made for the hair are very heavy, but since Kate’s product was a silicone for the face, it was much lighter. Being a hair guru, Adir immediately thought, “this would be brilliant for hair”.

ADIR’S HOW-TO on JEN’S SHINY TEXTURED WAVES:

1. Rub a silicone based shine product (or Quench if you can afford face products for your hair) in the ends of towel dried hair, being careful to steer clear of the roots.

2. Spray thickening spray in the damp roots, Adir used Frederick Fekkai, and blow dry with a round brush

3. Curl the hair with a 1” curling iron starting an inch away from the roots.

*ADIR’S INSIDER TIP – tug on the curl before you release the curling iron. This will ensure that the curl is a nice loose wave.
