Sarah Michelle Gellar at the Southland Tales Screening

Sarah Michelle Gellar at the Southland Tales Screening

Sarah Michelle Gellar looked absolutely glamorous at the Southland Tales screening during the AFI Film Festival held at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood. Mrs. Prinze stars in the dark sci-fi comedy, which opened nation-wide this past Friday and our very own Celebrity Stylemaker and makeup artist to the stars, Rachel Goodwin had the honor of creating Sarah Michelle's look for the AFI Fest screening.

Sarah Michelle plays a porn star in the film, so Rachel explained to us, how it was quite fun creating a look that was very much the opposite of porn star chic...and boy did she achieve what she was going for! SMG/SMP looked stunning. The look Rachel created is soft and oh so feminine. Sarah Michelle's cheeks were rosy pink and her eyes sparkled with gold and champagne colors dusted over her lids - matching her champagne-hued vintage Chloe gown.

Rachel was very generous to share her step-by-step process behind Sarah Michelle's beautiful fresh face.

FACE:
Rachel explained to us that Sarah Michelle already has a flawless complexion, so it really didn't take much to get her glowing. She began by preping her face with a light-weight water based moisturizer from Shu Uemura called: Cosmetic Water-Gel, which Rachel loves because it hydrates without leaving any sort of film on the skin's surface.

Rachel then used at tinted moisturizer on top from Stila called: Stila Sheer Color - in Medium. This tinted moisturizer is perfect for evening out skintone and it is not as heavy as a traditional foundation, plus it offers plenty of sun protection with an SPF of 15. Rachel used a Kevyn Aucoin concealer just under her eyes and a Guerlain Powder Foundation called Guerlain 'Parure' Compact Foundation with Crystal Pearls SPF 20. This special powder foundation contains crystal pearls for extra radiance and Rachel tells us, it allows you to put the shine where you want it. She dusted it lightly on Sarah Michelle's face and neck.

Rachel then used Chanel's Poudre Universelle Libre Loose Powder all over SMG's face and body as a subtle soft highlighter to create a monochromatic feel in taupes and neutrals. Lastly, she added a soft gold peachy colored Sheer Blush from NARS in Luster to her cheeks. The color is on a warm golden side.

EYES:
On her eyes, Rachel used Elizabeth Arden's Color Intrigue Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil in Espresso and then toped that with Givenchy's Parad'Eyes Fluid Eye Liner in Brown Legend, a warm dark chocolate brown shade. Rachel wanted to stay away from a very dark smoky eye - she wanted to keep her eyes soft and shimmery to go along with the rest of her look and outfit - a dark smoky eye would have been too dramatic for this feminine look.

For eyeshadow, Rachel used a shimmering champagne hue from Chanel's 2007 Holiday Collection: LES 4 OMBRES Quadra Eye Shadow in Radiant Gems, a four-colour palette that includes silver, bronze, rose and white shimmer powder shadows - to create a super sheer color wash - playing up the champagne tones seen throughout SMG's look for the night.

BROWS:
Rachel gave SMG's brows gentle definition with an eyebrow pencil from Make Up For Ever in Brown 3.

LASHES:
She used Kevyn Aucoin Mascara in Pitch Black to give the final touch to her lashes and to make her eyes pop.

LIPS:
Rachel wanted SMG to have a coral lip to play off of her fair skin. She used a Chanel Lipstick called Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip Colour in Desirable. She made sure to use her finger to apply to the lipstick to create a sheer application. She then finished off the whole look by adding a little bit of gloss by Chanel in the shade Gazelle in the center of her bottom lip to create the appearance of a fuller pout without having to use gloss on the entire lip.

Sarah Michelle Gellar'cosmatic collection is good. The thing I like most is its optimal hair style. optimal hair style mean a hair style which not only suitable for face but which would supporting for hair mean not cause hair loss. As I recently read an amazing claim on http://hairlosscounter.com/ that hair style can cause hair loss. It say that certain hairstyles can contribute to hair loss, most notably styles involving tight braids or pull-backs. This form of hair loss is called traction alopecia.

Muy bonita, indeed, k81212! She is quite radiant here - though I must admit, I'm irritated that the flashy flashy lights makes her blush look as if its just a line, whereas in the pics without all the bulbs, it looks natural. And I'm loving that lip colour! Fabulosity at its best!
