Mary Klimek's Winter 2008 Gloss Picks

Mary Klimek's Winter 2008 Gloss Picks

Make no mistake, Mary Klimek is a lipgloss aficionado of the highest caliber and self-proclaimed l.g. addict. That’s why when it comes to finding the top glosses of the season, Mary is We Love Beauty’s go-to girl.

Here are her favorites for winter:
Bobby Brown Glitter Lip Gloss in Soiree Pink – Mary loves the “pretty pinkness” of this limited-edition shade, which is part of the Party Collection. She recommends using it along with a nude or pink lip liner or even over a burgundy one (as long as you fill in the whole lip with the liner—no dark outline/light gloss combos please!) For nighttime,  Mary loves the contrast of this light color combined with a dramatic smoky eye.

Tricia Sawyer Clearly Pretty Color Revealing Lip Gloss – “This product is such a fun, surprise,” says Mary. This self-customizing lip gloss, which includes a stain and reveals itself differently on every lip since it activated by each wearer’s body chemistry. “You know it’s going to be a new year, so why not try something a little daring?” asks Mary.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss in Plum Juice – A client gave this gloss to Mary, and she was surprised when she found out it was from Target. She admits, “I don’t usually buy drugstore cosmetics, but I really love this stuff.” The plum juice color is a neutral, not-too-bright pink that anyone can wear, according to Mary.

Nars Lip Gloss in Bloodwork or Gothica - “Stunning” is how Mary describes this NARS Bloodwork, which is she promises is “the truest red ever.” She also loves it in Gothica, a “spiced berry” hue. She’s torn over whether she likes them best by themselves or over similarly colored lipstick. Decisions, decisions.
