In LA, Mary Klimek is known as the “The Lip Gloss Queen”. A self-confessed addict, when you look in Mary’s kit the range and quantity of glosses is overwhelming. But, as with everything surrounding our rainbow-haired makeup temptress...more is more, and Mary always says more gloss is a good thing. Even her star client, Helen Mirren gets a glossy lip for her red carpet outings. Shine is ageless.

We asked Mary to give us her Fall gloss picks by filling us in on the last five gloss colors she used this week, and to give us her thoughts. We think you’ll want to run out and try some of these shades immediately. Like the colors themselves, they are ripe for the picking.

Bobbi Brown’s Limited Edition Lip Gloss Palette (Posey, Naked, New Penny, Rum):
“I absolutely love this palette. These four colors are so beautiful on their own, but they mix together beautifully. You can’t make a mistake. It’s the perfect palette for a sophisticated fall lip.”

Philosophy Sugar Cookie Lip Shine: “This isn’t new, but I always love to layer on a clear shimmering gloss, and I love the shine of this Sugar Cookie gloss. Besides, it smells and tastes so good, it reminds me of baked goods…perfect for fall. It’s yummy.”

Laura Mercier Lip Stain in Sugar Violet: “This isn’t officially a gloss, but I’m insane for this color, and I like to layer gloss on top of it. I really like plum-tone lips for fall, and this shade Sugar Violet is a gorgeous plumy-rose color. It’s my favorite of the moment. I’ve used it on every one of my clients this season.”

Benefit HerGlossiness in Next Question Please: “Anyone can wear this color. It’s a beautiful Golden Rusty Rose shade that is perfect for the woman who wants a little more color for fall, but may be scared of lipstick. It’s rich, but sheer at the same time and universally flattering.”

Lancome Color Fever Gloss in Intense: “ This is bold and daring and SEX-Y! The shade is a deep plum ruby color with lots of sparkling shine in it. It’s for the girl who isn’t afraid of making a statement at her holiday office party. I love that girl.”
