Get the Look: Vanity Fair Cover Girls

Get the Look: Vanity Fair Cover Girls

Our very own Paul Starr, had the opportunity to spend an entire day at the beach with four of Hollywood's newest "it" starlets - Amanda Seyfried, Emma Roberts, Blake Lively and Kristen Stewart for the August 2008 Vanity Fair "Hollywood’s Next Wave" photoshoot and cover. Paul was the mastermind behind the all four of the lovely ladies beachy summer glows and berry stained pouts. We had a chance to catch up with Paul to get the details on his inspiration and process for creating the looks.

Paul raved at how stunning all four of the girls are. He wanted to play up their natural beauty with beautiful bronzed glowing skin. He started by mixing a body moisturizer with Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel to bring out a healthy tanned glow to the skin. He spot-touched each girl using his makeup sponge - a moisturizer for the face mixed with Clarins Radiance Plus Self Tanning Cream Gel, to match each girl's face to her newly tanned body.

Paul kept each girl's brows groomed and natural and he used an assortment of Chanel eyeshadows in creams, browns, gold and deep purple and plum hues (with a little shimmer) to the upper and lower eyelids. He kept the makeup fresh, effortless and beachy, showcasing each girl's unique features.

Paul added NARS Blush in Penny Lane to the apples of their cheeks and finished off the look with stained lips - using his staple Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey for a sleek, moist, sheer raspberry pout. Paul explained to us that he decided to use minimal makeup because he wanted to feature the youthfulness of each beauty..revealing their freshness.

man...am I the only one that thinks Amanda Seyfried looks like a fish? I always hear her last name as SEA FRIED...and I hate to admit it, but I don't think blake lively is too great, either. I hope GG fans don't come out to kick my ass or anything! http://thepuffreports.blogspot.com/

No, Sarah, I can't stand them either. I don't much care for that Emma Roberts, as well.
